The Children’s Home “Tić” enables professional treatment of children, victims of abuse (sexual, emotional and physical) and neglecting.

The multidisciplinary team of the Children’s Home “Tić” consists of two psychologists, one sociologist, three educators and external collaborators: one psychiatrist and one pediatrician.

The advisory activity is dedicated to children, young people and their families and it relates to a professional treatment of children, victims of abuse (sexual, emotional and physical) and neglecting, counselling with their non-abusive parents, guardians and families, and with families in which there is imminent risk of abuse.

To join the center, a referral from a GP is not necessary, with the aim of facilitating and speeding up the process of searching and receiving professional assistance.

The Children’s Home “Tić” in Rijeka is a public social welfare institution founded by the City of Rijeka. All the funds necessary for its activity are provided in the budget of the City of Rijeka. Since 2005, the institution has been partially financed by the PGŽ County and since 2010 also by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. All services are provided to the beneficiaries free of charge.
