Guide book on accessible buildings and places

As part of the “Rijeka – Healthy City” project, data was collected in order to prepare the guide book titled “Buildings and places accessible for people with disabilities”. The third amended edition of the Guide book was published at the beginning of 2012 to allow easier orientation and better mobility of people moving with mobility aids and also to give a boost and prevent the creation of any new barriers.

While adapting the buildings owned by the City of Rijeka, attention is also paid to their adaptability to disabled people. In 2013, tactile maps (guides for the blind and visually impaired) were installed at the entrance to the administration building of the City of Rijeka at the address Tito Sq.
