Wheelchair ramps installation for accessibility to residential buildings

Pursuant to personally presented requests, until 2014, more than forty ramps were installed in residential buildings where people with disabilities live.

Pursuant to the new Regulation on accessibility assurance to buildings for people with disabilities and reduced motor skills, adopted by the Ministry of Construction and Spatial Planning, certain modifications were introduced in the method for resolving applications submitted after 1 April 2014, relating primarily to ownership issues, as well as co-financing possibilities for building owners.

Manual “Useful Advice for Living”

The association of tenants – co-owners of residential buildings has published the manual titled “Useful advice for living – manual for quality living”, in which preparation tackling the theme of building accessibility for people with disabilities representatives of the “Rijeka – Healthy City” project also took part.
