The City of Rijeka co-finances vehicle escorts for students with disabilities attending the Center for Education.

Although the state budget provides funds for covering meal expenses for students with disabilities in elementary schools founded by local or regional government units, as well as transportation for students with developmental disabilities, unfortunately, these funds are not sufficient. Therefore, the City of Rijeka allocates additional resources to finance the presence of escorts in vehicles.

The escort assists children during travel, providing them with necessary support, responding in urgent situations, and ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met.
