The City of Rijeka co-finances specially adapted transport of pupils who attend the Education Centre residing in the territory of the city of Rijeka, by a minibus (14+1 persons), and it also co-finances school meals for pupils residing in the territory of the city of Rijeka.

Although budgetary funds are provided at state level in order to finance the costs of school meals for pupils with disabilities attending elementary schools founded by local and regional self-government units, unfortunately, such funds are insufficient and therefore the City of Rijeka for many years already has been providing funds intended for that purpose.

Many pupils obtain the right to the co-financing of these costs pursuant to social criteria, while for other pupils, the Department of Education and Schooling provides in its budget HRK 14 for a pupil daily, and this amount corresponds to the difference up to the full price of two daily meals.
