The City of Rijeka provides public transport services free of charge to citizens aged 65 and over whose personal monthly income is below HRK 2,000.00, while to other senior citizens aged 65 and over, the ticket price is classified into four categories depending  on income levels.

To people aged over 65, the utility company Autotrolej issues annual 65+ tickets, which price is classified into four categories depending on income levels, namely income limits. Aiming to protect the life standard of Rijeka citizens aged over 65, the City of Rijeka provides transport services free of charge for lines within the zones where public transport services are performed by the utility company Autotrolej to citizens whose personal monthly income is below HRK 2,000.

Documents necessary when issuing the annual 65+ ticket

At the points of sale of the municipality company Autotrolej and at local boards of the City of Rijeka, 65+ ticket beneficiaries shall present the following documents:

  • ID card
  • PIN
  • Pension slip or a confirmation issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (in the event that they do not receive a pension, the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute shall issue a confirmation that they do not receive a pension).
  • People over 65 who are still employed shall present an income confirmation or the latest salary slip in order to get their 65+ tickets.
