With the final conference held in Kostrena, the EU project “Stori po svoju” was brought to an end, intended for the education of children and young people up to the age of 29 in the fields of culture, entrepreneurship, sustainable, personal and professional development as well as STEAM.
The EU project “Stori po svoju” is drawing to an end, which, with the aim of developing STEAM education for children and young people, included more than 700 participants through about 90 programmes held in Rijeka, Kostrena and Kraljevica.
The City Museum of Rijeka hosted an opening reception of the YUFE Townhall 2023 conference, held for conference participants, during which experts from across the EU will discuss the perspectives of higher education in Europe, changes in higher education and the possibilities of European university alliances.
Within the EU project EMOUNDERGROUNDS, in which the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka took part as a partner, the exhibition space at Trsat castle was renewed and a new virtual tourist guide was devised.
The Ninepin Bowling Singles World Cup will be held from 9 to 12 February in the 6-lane bowling alley SRC Mlaka, and bowlers from 13 European countries will participate in the competition.
Within the EU programme that promotes cooperation on sustainable urban development and building partnerships between EU cities and cities of the Asian and Australasia region – International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC) Asia and Australasia, a delegation from the City of Rijeka led by mayor Marko Filipović is paying a return working visit to the Japanese city of Kawasaki with the aim of exchanging experiences, challenges and best practices in the field of sustainable development and identification of potential projects for further cooperation.
At the invitation of the Department of Social Sciences, Law and Education of the University of Toronto, Canada, Sandra Krpan, deputy mayor paid a visit to the University with the aim of exchanging experiences related to the implementation/introduction of Health Education in educational institutions.
The just approved Fortissimo project will be co-financed under the Creative Europe – Innovation Lab 2022 programme, and its total value amounts to EUR 2,831,311.29. The part of the project that relates to Rijeka is worth EUR 118,690.50 and will be co-financed with EUR 71,165.70.
The closure of the EU project “EU on the Move” was marked at the Zamet Center by the presenting sports to pupils.
