In addition to the elementary schools founded by the City, there are other elementary schools in Rijeka as well, like art schools and schools founded by other founders: Waldorf elementary school founded by the Friends Association of Waldorf Education and catholic elementary school “Josip Pavlišić”, founded by the Archdiocese of Rijeka.
Within more general public needs relating to elementary schools, the City of Rijeka co-finances the programme of eurythmy and woodwork teaching in Waldorf elementary school and the extended stay within the Extended Stay Programme in Catholic elementary school “Josip Pavlišić”.
