Since 2014, the association “Yoga in everyday life“ in co-operation with the City of Rijeka, within the “Rijeka – Healthy City” project has been organising free courses for people aged over fifty, in two locations in the quarter of Pećine at the Cultural Hall ”Yoga in everyday life”and at the Zamet Centre. Yoga exercises are comprehensive exercises that include physical exercises (asanas), relaxation exercises, breathing exercises and meditation, which have a beneficial effect on the muscles, joints, breathing, circulation, nervous and lymphatic systems, and general psychophysical health.
