The Department of Culture of the City of Rijeka, in cooperation with external associates has drawn up the Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Rijeka from 2013 to 2020. The document was adopted by the Council of the City of Rijeka at its 36th meeting held on 17 April 2013.
The Cultural Development Strategy of the City of Rijeka is a document that encompasses a period of seven years from 2013 to 2020. This strategy is a result of the necessity to define clearly the cultural policy of the City of Rijeka with the aim of speeding up its cultural development.
By adopting this document, for the first time, the cultural policy of the City has been defined for a long term. The Strategy includes any forms of encouragement, development and improvement of the cultural activities that contribute to the development and improvement of the cultural life of the city. The Strategy outlines general and specific goals as well as the manners in which they can be achieved thorough a number of measures, with clearly defined performance indicators that will be used to measure the realisation of such goals.
