Project goal: Improving the GIS system through the development of mobile applications that will enable indoor navigation within five administrative buildings

iLOCATE

Indoor/outdoor location and Asset Management Through Open Geodata (iLOCATE)

Duration: January 2014 – duration 36 months

Key activities: In the City of Rijeka the pilot project will be based on the development of a mobile application that will provide citizens with up to date information about the services that the City provides, offering, on request, navigation from door to door, i.e. from the citizen’s residence to the office/desk. Indoor navigation will be implemented within five administrative buildings. In the years to come, this technology could be also implemented to offer a mobile application to city visitors, for sightseeing, for example, cultural destinations and institutions in the city centre.
