Description

The project will enable the development of innovative social services in the community, strengthening the role of the local community in the processes of planning service at local level, encouraging cooperation in service delivery, while combating poverty and supporting social inclusion of target groups. The project activities ensure that people at risk of social exclusion are given the necessary opportunities and resources to participate fully in economic, social and cultural life.

Key activities

  1. Adaptation and equipment of the premises of the counselling association Terra, where a Mentoring Centre will be set up that will provide services aimed at social inclusion and increasing the employability of target groups
  2. Initiation and operation of the Mentoring Centre.
The mentoring service developed owing to this project seeks to expand the range of services for socially vulnerable groups by providing additional tools to work with long-term unemployed recipients of the guaranteed minimum compensation and young people at risk of social exclusion and questioning user needs and working to expand the social network. The introduction of mentoring achieves an improved individualised approach that enables self-activation of users and it works on empowering users by focusing on the abilities and potentials that they have. Mentoring will be organised by including 12 external mentors for social inclusion who come from CSOs, other organisations or individuals. To support mentors, the Centre will have an Employment Info Desk that will provide services for acquiring new knowledge and skills in order to increase the potentials of target groups for their inclusion in the labour market and Users’ Clubs that will provide organised services that contribute to social activation, socialising, creative expression and active participation. Through the users’ clubs, joint trips to cultural, artistic and sports events will be organised.
  3. Project promotion and visibility
    Initial and final project conferences
