Project Title

SUMBooST2 – Sustainable Urban Mobility Boost Smart Toolbox Upgrade

Project Goal

The project is aimed at developing a new methodological framework, i.e. a tool that combines traditional traffic engineering with new possibilities of data science, applicable in the analysis and planning of the transport system.

Duration

1 January – 31 December 2021

Description

The project is a continuation of the project SumBooST realised during 2020. The implementation and validation of the methodology for traffic planning based on big data collected in the city of Rijeka have been completed. Activities in 2021 follow the enrichment of tools with new analytical possibilities. It will also be possible to apply the developed methodology in other cities.

The methodology will enable stakeholders involved in planning and providing services tied to urban mobility to use new data sources, tools and methods to effectively use real-world data in order to plan sustainable urban mobility and create new solutions to identified problems of the transport system.
