Project Title: LoCall For YOUth

Project Goal:

Strengthening cooperation between young people and decision-makers and strengthening the capacity to implement the current Youth Programme.

Duration: 1 January 2019 – 31 August 2020

Project description and activities:

Through project activities, which include consultations with young people, focus groups and public events, a regional database of associates will be developed: organizations and experts in the field of youth activity from a wider territory of Rijeka and members of the Youth Council, as an advisory body of the City of Rijeka, will be educated and strengthened. All interested young people, aged 15 to 30, will have an opportunity to get to know the mechanisms through which they can be actively included in the social and political life of Rijeka and contribute to a high quality life of young people in the community. In addition, through the public event activities, young people from a wider territory of Rijeka can include themselves in the joint creation of contents dedicated to young people in our city, thus contributing, with their own ideas, to the creation of those activities and contents that, in their opinion, are missing in the community. Through the implementation of this project, various interesting events will mark the European Youth Week, which will be held in 2019 from 29 April to 5 May, on the eve of the European Parliament elections. The European Youth Week is celebrated every second year, and this year’s themes are democracy and youth and encouraging active participation of young people in society.
