Project Title: Swimming as Therapy and Integration of People with Special Needs
Project goal:
To improve the quality of life of disabled people and enhance their integration in the community though practicing swimming, with a particular emphasis on young people with disabilities.
Duration: May 2011. – December 2012.
Key activities:
Within the project cooperation was intensified between Croatian and Slovenian organisations providing assistance to people with special needs that use swimming as a means of improving their physical and mental health, socialisation and inclusion. Experience and knowledge were exchanged during professional meetings, visits, exchange of professionals and by organising common meetings of people with special needs.
