Project for the construction of the second railway track – study

The study is the first part of the documentation necessary for implementing the project that relates to the construction of the second railway track of the existing railway line through the city of Rijeka, on the section from Škrljevo to Jurdan.

The study was completed in October 2014, and activities on the preparation of project documentation required for obtaining permits are underway.

Ordering party:

The Croatian Railways, the City of Rijeka and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, participated in project coordination that monitored the entire process of its drawing up.

In February 2015, the development of preliminary and main projects for this intervention will take part in a call for EU funding under the CEF fund (Connecting Europe Facility). It is expected that a grant amounting to 85% of the project value will be approved. Publishing information and dynamics for such EU projects on local and regional self-government websites is a common and binding practice in the EU.
