Project goal: Creating conditions for the development of new and improvement of existing contents, programmes, services and activities, which will also contribute to sustainable development and improvement of cultural heritage management in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the City of Rijeka, that owing to its unique feature and attractiveness has been recognised as a very valuable resource with the greatest potential for revitalisation and tourist valorisation, and also for the creation of new and innovative educational and scientific programs as well as for modernising the existing ones. In the long run, the project will result in the creation of new jobs that will be a direct consequence of the implementation of the integrated project.

Key activities:

Preparation of study and project documentation for the integrated project that will meet the conditions for the implementation of construction projects and equipping two protected immovable cultural property items: the Governor’s Palace (good code: Z-99) and Nugent’s house (good code: P-5257) and a strategic framework for future activities of users, as well as its positioning and valorisation in the tourist context in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, i.e. in the city of Rijeka.

The project of revitalization of the Governor’s Palace and Nugent’s House in Rijeka in the first phase includes the preparation of study and project documentation required to approach the implementation phase of the integrated project. In addition to the preparation of documentation, the duration of the project also includes the activities of dissemination and coordination of project activities in accordance with the rules of the European Union.

In cooperation with project partners, preconditions will be created for the presentation and strengthening of the recognisability of movable and immovable heritage that the user preserves in both locations.
