Project description:
The Gyroscope project was launched as there was a need to solve instability problems when using spatial resources of all non-institutional actors in culture, namely its purpose was to develop a civil and public partnership in the management of the premises of Filodrammatica, Youth Cultural Centre “Palach” and the Croatian Cultural Centre Sušak. This partnership focuses on the establishment of joint management of these premises, which includes the development of a management model, the establishment of procedures for including all cultural stakeholders in the city and increased citizen participation in cultural activities, including their programming. The project contributes to the development of capacities of civil society organizations and public administration for participatory governance, to the strengthening of social dialogue with the aim of achieving better management and citizen inclusion in public resources management.
Project Goal:
During the project several educational programmes and activities will be realised that include workshops, lectures, cultural and artistic productions and education, and the establishment of the first Rijeka community radio “Radio Roža”.

Project budget:
The project total value amounts to HRK 2,416,102.66 and it was financed under the European Social Fund in the amount of HRK 2,053,687.26 and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia in the amount of HRK 362,415.40.
The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and the National Foundation for Civil Society Development are intermediate bodies in project implementation.
